Raymond Augustyniak, Ph.D., became passionately involved in mastering and teaching Bowen after it saved his life in 1993.

He has witnessed the profound, miraculous effects Bowen has on the body and mind on deep physical, emotional, chemical and energetic levels. His passion for Bowen is unrivaled. His contributions in developing and expanding Tom Bowen?s work has led to the discovery of many Bowen Releases that directly address very specific conditions such as heart attack, stroke, bi-polar, epilepsy, thoracic outlet syndrome, etc. The numerous Sports specific Bowen Releases that were developed to greater assist athletic performance, stamina and rapid recovery from overexertion and injury have served countless Professional, Olympic, Collegiate, high school and amateur athletes for over 8 years. Many venues include working with California State University Sacramento Athletics on nearly a daily basis, NCAA Track and Field Championships, and Olympic trials.

Raymond is the founder of Bowen Healing System(tm) Center and the Natural Healthcare Institute(tm) in California. Raymond frequently lectures and teaches classes locally, nationally and internationally.

He is the author of the book “Awaken the Doctor Within!”, which explains what Bowen is and how it works in detail. He is also a contributor to the book “101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health”.

Bowen College has provided a comprehensive look at the healing process by use of the BowenFirst™ and has been the cornerstone of my education in the Technique. Originating from Australia and founded by Tom Bowen, the Bowen College has respectively and successfully executed a training program to suit all backgrounds of education, from professional to novice.

Linda Craig graduated from the Physical Therapy Program at University of Texas Health Science Center in 1989 and moved back to her home state of Washington to work in a busy practice. After several years of teaching the basics of Physical Therapy to her patients and growing frustrated with the limitations of this modality, Linda decided to seek out new ways of understanding body mechanics and treating dysfunction.

Her search led her to a 4-year training program in the Feldenkrais Method® that changed her life. She was astounded by the powerful results of incorporating these gentle techniques into her practice. Later, fueled by this same passion and dedication to therapy, Linda completed courses of study in Osteopathic Techniques, Neurostructural Integration Technique and Crania-Sacral Therapy and Postural Restoration. She has also studied Reiki and Sente energy work as a way of examining the connection between the mind, the physical body, and the emotional plane.

Linda’s practice focuses on making sure patients use the best possible body mechanics and postural alignment during activities. She combines techniques from all of her years of training and experience, along with a variety of health, wellness and exercise products, to create lasting change for her patients. Whenever she has been unable to find a readily available solution to her patient’s needs, Linda began developing her own products, starting with the Goldylocks Cervical Pillow.

She created Linda’s Center in 1998 in order to provide her patients with a safe environment for learning, exploring, transformation and growth. In 2010, Linda expanded the business to include additional offices under the name of Wellness Through Movement Physical Therapy, Inc.

With a background in education, music, and martial arts, Gene Dobkin began full-time study and practice of therapeutic modalities in the early 1980ʼs.

Gene has always been drawn to osteopathic techniques. The best of these are able address the client on every level, from part to whole. Beginning in 1992, Bowen became the keystone. Gene studied with and then taught first through the Bowen Academy of Australia, and later with NST, helping introduce both techniques into the U.S. and Middle East. A two-part Bowen manual, written in 1998 has sold several thousand copies and is still used as a study guide by practitioners, as well as a basic textbook by many teachers in the field.

Beginning in 2000, Gene began teaching his own Bowen classes. The idea behind them is to use basic osteopathic principles (which Tom Bowen himself professed to follow) to guide oneʼs moves, rather than an historical or generic patterning. This awareness, added to honing the studentʼs natural sensitivity of touch, produces not only a high level of results, but also a more engaging and satisfying therapeutic experience for the  practitioner.

Peter Hutchinson is a renowned Sports Kinesiologist, Personal Trainer, and Bowen Therapist practicing for Absolute Body Harmony in Melbourne Australia. He has always had a passion for sport and exercise, from playing football for Geelong Amateurs in the 80′s to being the Queensland Taekwondo Champion in 2000, going on to become the Australian Defense Force Body Building Champion in 2002. Along the way, Peter also had a passion for complementary medicine regularly using Bowen Therapy, Naturopathy & Homeopathy. By combining Peter’s two passions of exercise and complementary medicine, he went onto to undertake studies into becoming a practitioner himself so he could support people in reaching their own physical and nutritional goals. From Peter’s life experience combined with his training he excelled, being regularly asked to present at education seminars, for colleges, businesses and associations.

Peter is now an instructor and assessor for the Australian College of Complementary Medicine, the International School of Bowen Therapy, and the Centre for Adult Education. He also co-writes and delivers short courses, most recently the “Musculoskeletal Functional Assessment Program” which is recognized with the Bowen Therapy Federation of Australia. Peter’s client base is quite diverse ranging from Olympians to babies. As a therapist his specialty is working with rehabilitation through corrective exercises combined with Kinesiology and Bowen Therapy. He trains his clients from a functional integrative holistic perspective using medicine balls, Swiss balls with the clients own body weight and core strength. This approach leads to training the whole body, integrating the muscular and nervous system, culminating in better function, coordination and results.

Rupert Jannasch currently grows highbush blueberries, tomatoes and some minor crops in Summerville, Hants County, N.S. He is a former researcher and instructor at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where he specialized in pasture management. He has extensive practical experience in both plant and animal husbandry in Canada, Europe and New Zealand. As former Executive Director of REAP-Canada, Rupert promoted biofuel production from switchgrass. He is also an experienced and retired organic inspector.

Ron Phelan has a professional background in both industry and teaching which he started well before changing his career path in the early nineties and then qualifying as a Remedial Masseur and Bowen Therapist. He originally trained in BowenFirst™ in 1996 and has been practicing predominantly with NST since 1998. Working in the Geelong region, Australia, Ron has had the opportunity to treat many of Tom Bowen’s original patients. This has given him an invaluable insight to the understanding, efficacy and history of both the man and the technique. Ron brings to his trainings many years of professional teaching experience combined with countless hours of practical expertise as a therapist. He is committed to the development and further understanding of this unique Australian mode of therapy.

Nadya Seeberger is a certified Therapist in Bowen and Reflexology. In order to expand her experience and knowledge in the field of holistic medicine she is presently training to become Naturopathic Doctor.  Before changing her career path, Nadya had a background in Nutrition, Human resource and Business development.

She was first introduced to Bowen about 7 years ago, due to her own Health problems. Nadya has been a Bowen Therapist since 2006.  Since then she is continually amazed how Bowen awakens the intelligence and healing potential of the body.

Dr. Nikita Vizniak is a globally recognized author (http://www.prohealthsys.com/products/index.php) & educator whose work & passion are derived from his desire for the promotion of clinical efficiency & excellence.

When he is not writing, Dr. Vizniak teaches human anatomy, neurologic assessment, orthopaedic assessment, general physical assessment, myofascial therapies & osseous manipulation. He has also taught standardized exam preparation for MCAT (pre-med), PCAT (pre-pharmacy), DAT (pre-dental), and OAT (pre-optometry).  His professional experience also includes working as a standardized patient simulator, trainer, national board exam clinical scenario developer & proctor for the NPLEX, CCEB,  Medical Council of Canada & UBC standardized patient program.

When not engaged in academics, he enjoys home renovation, construction, soccer, archery & spending time enjoying the outdoors with his family in the greater Vancouver area.

Nik brings forward his expertise as Bowen College’s Physical Assessment instructor.
