As massage therapy is a touch-based profession, NCBTMB will require 200 hours of hands-on massage therapy to be taught in a live classroom–however, effective immediately, NCBTMB will accept all sciences, communication, ethics, and pathology courses to be taught on an e-learning platform until further notice.
While this is not a permanent solution–as NCBTMB does have to follow its policies and procedures–NCBTMB, its peer organizations, and its accrediting organization do understand the danger of coming together in groups at this time. Your safety is our concern.
